FINALLY got going

I have finally got going on my first sewing project! I am making a remembrance blanket for my mother and hope to be done by Mothers day. After my dad passed away 5 years ago she gave me some of his favorite shirts to make her a blanket and I could just never bring myself to cut them up. Recently I saw a similar blanket for a friend and saw how much comfort and peace it give him and decided I was being selfish and my mom would really enjoy this - so cutting and sewing up a storm!

Slow Going!

Well all my well laid plans didn't happen! No crafting or sewing done yet, still trying to get my room together and make a sewing table that folds up into the bureau...I have been buying materials and making a list of what I want to make this year, so once I get started there will be no stopping me :) Hope to have the room started/done by end of this weekend.

New Year almost here-Time to get busy

The New Year is almost here and with it brings a whole new year of living to do. The past is the past and I look forward to the future! New projects to start and a list a mile long to get through! Can't wait to get started! Jan. 1 here I come!

Half way done and 5 days to go!

Finally got a few of the crafty gifts done! The photo box for my friends birthday/Christmas gift turned out fabulous, and she loved it. I also got the clip board calendar done for my youngest daughter and the pictures printed off for my mom's photo box and my oldest daughters clip board calendar. They are fantastic gift idea's, next year I have made a list of things I want to make everyone... :)

Finally time for what I want to do!

The weekend whirlwind if finally over and the holiday shopping is mostly done, I can finally sit down tonight and work on the 6 gifts I need to make for loved ones. AFTER the holidays, I'm looking forward to breaking out the sewing machine and getting down to business....having FUN FUN FUN

Whewwww....what a weekend!

Well, got everything done on my list and then some! The home made ornaments came out GREAT (thanks Jesy for a great idea) and the personalized stocking were fabulous, the kids had fun with all the projects...the pizza contest was a success ( I WON) and all the baking gave us great munchies for Sunday's tree trimming activities. Now...onto Xmas making gifts that I need to hussle and make - 6 projects that looks like fun fun fun!

Postponed once again - TOOO much going on

So I once again changed my mind and decided to WAIT on my sewing projects because I just have to much going on and don't want to stop in the middle fo a project! This weekend I'll drive 5 hours to pick up my two sons, then Sat. we're putting up the tree, making ornaments and stockings - then a pizza contest and a game of Easy Money :P Sunday we're backing cookies and buckeyes and lots of goodies - then a movie - the another 5 hours to take the boys back!
